New Footscray Hospital

The Victorian Government has provided up to $1.5 billion to deliver a new Footscray Hospital – the largest ever health infrastructure investment in the state.

The project comprises a new Category 1 Hospital on the corner of Geelong road and Ballarat road, Footscray. The hospital will comprise 599 points of care (504 beds) with shell space included in the design for expansion to 721 points of care (606 beds) .

Ballarat Base Hospital Redevelopment

The Victorian Government is investing $655 million to redevelop and expand Ballarat Base Hospital.

The redevelopment will deliver a new multi-level tower and main entrance off Sturt Street, a new emergency department with an integrated mental health, alcohol and other drugs hub, a new helipad, a new women and children’s hub and an extra 100 inpatient and short stay beds.

Pakenham Community Hospital

The New Pakenham Community Hospital is part of the Victorian Governments commitment to build ten community hospitals close to major growth areas.

The Pakenham Community Hospital will be a small public hospital providing a range of important everyday health services including urgent care, chemotherapy and allied health.

Angliss Hospital Expansion

The Victorian Government is investing $112 million to expand the Angliss Hospital in Upper Ferntree Gully.

A new multi-storey building will deliver a new inpatient unit, four operating theatres, a new central sterile supply department, and spaces for outpatient services.
