The Victorian Government invested $162. 7 million to expand the Northern Hospital in Epping.

The second stage of the Northern Hospital expansion delivered three new operating theatres, including one hybrid theatre. It also added 96 acute inpatient beds, a 28-bed intensive care unit, and a 10-bed cardiac care unit.

The expanded hospital features

• New CSSD compressor system

• New medical carbon dioxide manifold system
• New medical nitrous oxide system
• Supply, install and commission medical gas reticulation complete with valve isolation boxes and tool air boxes
• Connection to medical pendants
• Supply and install medical gas outlets
• Supply and install medical gas alarm system
• Connection to medical pendants
